Denim Background Stamp

When I was gifted with this stamp a year ago (thanks, Laura), I immediately set out to find card samples using this background stamp.

That’s when I stumbled upon Ellen Hutson’s post, detailing how she created the seam on the card.

Using the directions found in Ellen’s post, the background was stamped on gray card stock using pacific point ink from Stampin”Up! For the seam, I pierced a double line down the card, and used pacific point marker and white pencil to create the shadow and puckering effect. An orange gel pen was used to make the stitching. The sentiment was stamped in brown on vanilla card stock, the edges distressed with scissors and the surface sponged to look like leather. Enamel dots were added to the corners and then popped up on dimensionals.

I created multiples of this card as it makes a perfect male birthday card.
