August 2021 Class and Workshop

For our August 2021 Class and Workshop I chose to highlight the Expressions in Ink suite of products from the 2021-22 Annual Catalog, along with print-outs from the Diversity download from Stampin’Up! I hope you enjoy the cards we made this month.

In making the cards from the Diversity download, we used three different coloring options: Colored pencils, Stampin Write markers and Stampin Blends. We pulled in some greetings from other stamp sets to match the images. We also made use of the Stampin’Up! masks (stencils).

The other three cards all made use of the Expressions in Ink suite of products: the Artistically Inked stamp set and dies, and the beautiful designer series paper.

As you’ll see we used the beautiful paper on all three cards in some way. And also used the stamps and some of the new 2021-23 In-color inks. I absolutely fell in love with this suite when I first saw the cover of our new annual catalog.

Expressions in Ink card with gold foil die cut

For this card, we used both plates of the Stamparatus to position the floral stamps and leaf stamps to be stamped beneath the gold foil die-cut. Using the SU adhesive sheets applied to the gold foil card stock made applying the die-cut to the card super easy. This card uses retired ribbon that I colored with Polished Pink ink to match the card.

2021-23 In Color card with Pretty Flowers embossing folder

Here again, we combined some old with new products for making this pretty card. Using all of the new In colors card stocks (but not shown here) and the 2021-23 In color shimmer vellum, it was embossed with the Pretty Flowers embossing folder. The pattern reminded me so much of the Floral Phrases dies that I decided to pull this old die-cut into the card. A strip of the designer series paper was added to mat the sentiment strip and we popped up a stamped flower for a focal point.

I sure hope you enjoyed seeing the cards we made at my August 2021 Class and Workshop. You can learn more about Heart Sentiments or me here. If you are interested in making cards or learning more about it, feel free to sign up at one of my monthly classes or workshops here.
