Flourishing Phrases Copper

Sometimes there are items that I purchase and it takes me a while to find a good application for them. Today’s project is one such example. I’ve used the stamp set Flourishing Phrases and the coordinating dies in the past, but not with the copper card stock or embossing powder. WOW, this is beautiful together.
Here’s a quick and dirty of how I created this project.

The card base is early espresso, and the layers are copper and very vanilla, along with the vellum. The vellum was stamped in versamark and covered with copper embossing powder and heat-set. The embellishments were die cut from the piece of copper card stock I used on the card layer.

The vanilla layer was stamped with early expresso with a stamp from Timeless Textures, after first stamping off, so as to not be so bold. A bit of adhesive from the fine-tip glue was used behind the embossed areas of the vellum so it wouldn’t show through when glued to the vanilla layer. A bit of sheer cream ribbon was laid beneath the long die-cut piece, and the floral die-cut was adhered to early espresso card stock and then fussy cut before applying to the card with dimensionals.
