More of Beautiful Day Stamp Set

I tried some more techniques with this new set from the Occasions catalog. On my first card, I tried just blending the butterfly with the new Blends alcohol markers from Stampin’Up! and I have to say, when you look at the close-up, I need a bit more practice. But I will keep working at it.

For my next card, I tried smooshing with the dye inks and water on shimmery white card stock, using wisteria wonder and pear pizzazz inks from SU. After this card stock dried, the butterfly image was stamped on to it with versamark ink, covered with white embossing powder and heat embossed. Then the image was cut out and attached to a piece of vellum. The sentiment was also heat embossed by using clear embossing powder over SU rich razzleberry ink. Then attached to the card base stamped with the same image as background. Maybe not the best designed card with I really love how the smooshing turned out. I will be doing more with this technique.
