For this class, I selected the pretty stamp set, Hand-penned Petals, to teach water-coloring flowers. Participants were given two options: water color pencils or water color paints. First we stamped the images using Memento black ink. When using the pencils, color is applied first to the card. Then water is applied using a paint brush or water color brush to move and spread the color.

When water-coloring with paints, you need to first wet the surface with water. Then you apply the paint with a wet brush and let it flow into the water.

All in all, I find coloring of any type very therapeutic. However, water-coloring flowers is probably my all time favorite. Hope you enjoyed this post and try some water-coloring yourself.
