Layered Die-cut Opening

Last month to teach this technique, I used two heart punches to create the layered die-cut opening on this card. I used the larger scalloped heart on the top white layer, and the smaller plain heart on the black layer beneath to create the double heart look on this card. Those two layers were popped up over another layer underneath that was embossed with the pretty diamond pattern.

Ink sponging was added through a diamond stencil on the top layer, and over the embossed layer underneath.

The pink flowers were stamped and punched with the retired Petite Petals stamp set, and the green florals were stamped and die-cut from the retired Honey Bee stamp and die bundle. I hope to try more of this layered die-cut opening at future classes.
