As we bid a Hand-penned Farewell to one of my favorite stamp sets, I took the opportunity to hold one last workshop with it. In this class we make two different cards which are detailed below.

Coloring Card
For the first card we use either of two different coloring markers. One is Stampin’Up! dye ink markers, and the other is Stampin’Up! blends, which are alcohol based markers. Based on which markers you use, you need to stamp the image you want to color with the right black ink.

I explain that you use a dye ink when coloring with alcohol makers, and a pigment ink when coloring with dye based markers. The problem is, if you use the water-based black ink and water based dye ink, they can cause smearing if they touch. The phrase to remember is, water moves water and alcohol moves alcohol. So it’s important to choose your coloring markers before stamping, to make sure you use the right black ink.
Card with die cuts
For the second card, we use the dies and the pretty patterned paper that was part of the suite. [You might notice we use the black and white patterned paper to frame the panel in the cards above.] I select the paper that matches the Memories and More cards and envelopes. They are slightly larger than an A2 size card, and measure 4 1/4 x 6 1/4.

The floral die and scallop strip die are both part of the dies in this product bundle. The message is punched from the postage stamp punch.

We have had a lot of fun with the stamps, dies and papers over the last couple of years, but we must now say a sad Hand-penned Farewell to this beloved set. It can still be purchased before time and inventory run out through May 1, 2023 at my online store.
