Scored Backgrounds

Scored backgrounds can convert a plain white panel to something special. Simply score a white panel with a pattern of scored lines. Score every quarter of an inch, half inch or inch. You can leave them white as embossed or turn the panel over for a de-bossed look. In this card, we highlighted the embossed score lines by dragging an ink pad over them.

Die cut sunflower on scored background

The sunflower was stamped, colored and fussy cut from a separate piece of card stock and popped up on the front panel. The card base and label are cut from Kraft card stock.

I believe the rustic background of the inked score lines is perfect for this sunflower card. You might want to try scored backgrounds as a different option for your front panels.
