This may not follow the exact definition of Batik, that’s why I’m calling it Faux Batik Stamping. And, in fact, the other card we made at this same workshop falls into this category too. You can see that one here. For this technique, we stamp our design onto white card stock with Versamark ink and emboss it with white embossing powder. Once it cools, we create creases and folds across the card stock in different directions. Make sure the folds go right through the images you just heat embossed. Then, apply ink to the card stock with a blending tool. This is done so that when you blend on the ink, it has places to concentrate in.

At the time of this writing, the stamp set Botanical Layers can be found at my online store. I hope you will try this faux batik stamping, and share your cards with me.
