I’m not sure if calling this a Floating Circle Card is right, but it is a card with a circle on it that appears to float over the card front. I will walk you through how to do this.
Using 1/2″ paper strips, adhere them to a piece of acetate, leaving a small gap between the strips. Then, die cut the piece with a circle die. Attach strips of foam tape to the back of the acetate behind the paper strips. This sample uses Petal Park designer series paper.
Use a wash of balmy blue ink and petal pink ink to splash on the front of the card to create some background. Then, adhere the die cut circle to the card front. The delicate leaf vine is die cut from the Dainty Delight Die set.
I brought this other sample of a floating circle card, with two floating circles, to class to show them how to step it up.
