Creating this card is made simple with the Thoughtful Journey DSP. This scenic paper pack lends itself to this type of layered card.
Start with a 5″ wide x 5 1/4″ tall piece of Thoughtful Journey DSP (designer series paper). Cut 1 1/2″ off of each side, left and right. This will leave you with a 2″ x 5 1/4″ piece for the middle. Embellish the center panel with a bit of stamping if you like more scenery. I added some tree and grassy stamps from the Grassy Grove stamp set. Then adhere the two outside pieces of paper, leaving the 1/8″ border on three sides. Next, adhere the center paper panel to a layering piece of white card stock, that is cut to 2 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. This layer is popped up and overlaps the side panels slightly.
It may appear like it’s a fun fold card, but it’s just a popped up center layer card. And, popping up the center really gives this card dimension.
