Partial Die-cut Cardbase

Creating a Partial Die-cut Cardbase is easier than you think. Let me walk you through it. Stamp and color an image on the front of the card base. Decide how much of the card base around the image that you want to remove or cut away. Then, using a ruler, mark that area with a pencil. You will need to be able to fit the open card base within the area of your die cutting machine. Place the die over the image you are cutting. But, only place the top plate up to the points you marked with the pencil, and only cut that far. Then cut into that spot from the top and bottom of the Cardbase.

I purchased this Lovely Flowers stamp set from Gina K Designs, as a bundle. It also has layering stencils for coloring the image, and it’s so easy to do. Now that I have finally tried this technique, I will look for other larger images that I can use to make a Partial Die-cut Cardbase.
